George Feldstein, Crestron President/CEO, Honored with Distinguished Pioneers of AV Award

Crestron founder, George Feldstein was awarded the prestigious Adele De Berri Pioneers of AV Award at InfoComm10. One of the AV industry's highest honors and the highest given by InfoComm International, the Adele De Berri Pioneers of AV Award highlights important contributions made by individuals to the science of AV and to the formation of the AV industry.

At CES 2008, the Home Theater Specialists of America (HTSA) revealed its 2007 awards, an annual tradition by which the buying group of specialty electronics retailers and custom installers recognizes products, vendors and individuals for contributions that positively affect the industry. For its Custom Product of the Year, HTSA selected the Crestron TPMC-8X (compact Wi-Fi touchpanel featuring Windows XP Embedded OS) and described it as ahead of its time and something customers aspire to have in their homes.

Lifetime Achievement Award: George Feldstein

The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) awarded George Feldstein, President and CEO of Crestron Electronics, Inc. the CEDIA 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award. This prestigious award recognizes an individual who has exhibited outstanding, creative, innovative, and visionary leadership in the growth and advancement of the custom electronic systems industry.

Feldstein, who founded Crestron in 1971, was recognized for the exemplary contributions he has made during the course of his career, to Crestron and its employees worldwide, as well as the entire CEDIA community. From its humble beginnings, Feldstein has grown Crestron to encompass 27 offices worldwide.

Under Feldstein's direction, Crestron has pioneered cutting-edge innovations in the field of control and automation, including the VT Series, the first touchpanel to feature color, video and computer graphics; SmarTouch, the world's first RF wireless control system; CNMSX-PRO, the first IP-based control system; and e-Control; the first Internet-based control technology.
